I recently bought my first home and the experience was incredibly smooth and positive. If anyone is looking for a home and would like help from a Realtor that is reliable, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and has great communication skills, please read about my experience below:

My realtor, Kim Carty was always available for questions and helped me understand all of the new information, forms, and rules throughout my experience. She was flexible, friendly, and took the huge and daunting task of buying a home for the first time and made it manageable and easy for me.

Example 1

The first home I was interested in looked amazing from the photos and had everything I wanted - 2 bed/2 bath with an outside patio. However, Kim did her research and let me know how terrible it actually was. The current owner refused to let anyone look at the home in person until they made an offer. An inspection done from a potential offer revealed multiple property issues that were not going to be fixed before the seller moved out. Basically, the seller lived there, trashed it, and now wants out and whoever buys the home has to deal with the previous owner’s mess. No way was I going to deal with that! I appreciate how Kim saved me a lot of time with that listing.

Example 2

The other home I was interested in looked “okay” on the outside but really nice on the inside: 2Bed/1 bath (ideally I wanted 2Bed/2bath), no patio, the HOA was ridiculously high (over $400 per month) as well, but I was willing to give it a shot, maybe it’s justified… Kim let me know that the HOA fees increased a lot in the past few years which was indicative that the neighborhood is not well funded. I expect HOA fees to increase but in this case, the property management was not being smart with the money they were charging people. Once again, Kim saved me time and also helped me dodge the bullet of being gouged of all my hard earned money by HOA fees.

I feel these examples really highlight how Kim really prioritized my needs and comfort above all else. I was able to close the deal on my first home, and from start to finish, it took under 2 months! If only everything else was as easy and smooth! I now enjoy a 2 bed/2 bath with a patio and a bonus loft area in a condo that’s in a safe and well established neighborhood with an HOA that is well managed.

I make a commitment to excellence in the work that I do and I feel Kim does the same. If I were to change careers and work as a realtor, I would follow Kim’s example knowing confidently that I would do a phenomenal job. I strongly recommend Kim to all of my friends or anyone who is looking for a high quality home buying experience.
